BATHYMETRIC AND SEDIMENT SURVEY OF THE TONGUE OF THE OCEAN, BAHAMAS. PART II. BOTTOM PHOTOGRAPHS.

Abstract

Locations of the fifteen stations at which bottom photographs were obtained during BEAR Cruise 258 are shown. A detailed chart showing the relation of these stations to local topography is given. Twenty-seven photographs are given in the report. Prominent in most of the photographs is the sediment cloud raised by the impact of the weight on the bottom, which occurs one-tenth of a second before the photograph is taken. (Author)
