STATISTICAL INVESTIGATIONS OF SOME FORECAST RULES,

Abstract

Investigating the 24-hour prognostic charts of the Weather Services by new statistical methods, the data compiled has been searched under several aspects. The results permit an interpretation of the effectiveness of the prognoses. In addition, a similarity has been found between prognostic charts concerning the western part of the prognostic area. This striking similarity has been observed to occur periodically. (Author)
