DEVELOPMENT OF AN AUTOMATIC PROCESS START-UP DEMONSTRATOR.

Abstract

A program for an automatic start-up demonstration unit was developed. A system, executing this program and fabricated almost entirely with pure fluid elements, was manufactured. This system consisted of solid-state pneumatic digital logic, appropriate pneumatic interfaces, and process simulator, and provided a training capability for personnel working in the field of fluidics 'hardware' suitable for experimentation and a demonstration of pure fluid process control, and automatic start-up systems. The process demonstrator performed in accordance with the design specifications. (Author)
