SCANNING AND RECTIFICATION OF PANORAMIC PHOTOS.
Abstract
The panoramic photographs of the surface of celestial bodies are generally taken from an arbitrary position of the photographing system. Therefore, for instance, the picture of the horizon on the photographs from station 'Luna-9' is interrupted in the middle part of the panorama. The rectification of such photographs to the ideal survey case, when the angular elements of external orientation are equal to zero, is important for the studies of extraterrestrial celestial bodies, because it makes it possible to present an undistorted situation, in particular the skyline about the automatic station. For the same reason the obtaining of a photographic picture on the plane print of central projection is of interest during a survey with nadir. Insofar as the picture on the panoramic photograph is constructed according to laws differing from central projecting, the solution of the formulated problem should be divided into two stages. The first stage consists of the scanning of separate sections of the panoramic photograph upon the plane. The second stage consists in the rectification of the scanned sections upon one or another plane.
