PROGRAMS FOR THE ANALYSIS OF MAGNETO-TELLURIC DATA. PART I. THEORY,

Abstract

A package of programs for the editing and analysis of magneto-telluric data has been developed. The editing program (DGEDT 1) is designed to correct for all detectable errors due to digitizer malfunction. A tape merge program (DGMRG1) has been prepared to permit the economical storage of edited data. A short discussion and listings of these programs appear in Part II of this report. An analysis program (MTANAL) which permits the computation of apparent resistivities as a function of frequency has been prepared. The theory of this analysis is presented.
