ETUDE SUR SIMULATEUR DES CONDITIONS D'APPROCHE G. C. A. AU SECOND REGIME DE VOL (ANALYSIS ON A FLIGHT SIMULATOR OF G. C. A. APPROACH FLIGHT CONDITIONS IN THE SECOND FLIGHT REGIME),

Abstract

The use of low aspect ratio wings in present day aircraft raises the problem of accurate control of the flight path in the second flight regime. The piloting difficulties encountered in this flight condition have been analysed on a simplified flight simulator using an analog computer in conjunction with a fixed pilot's cabin. In addition, in an attempt to improve the behaviour of the aircraft in the second flight regime the speed was stabilised by means of suitable automatic control applied to the jet thrust. (Author)
