ELECTROSTATIC FOCUSING OF HOLLOW SPIRALINGS ELECTRON BEAMS.

Abstract

A design for an end fire cathode and infection scheme was made. The cathode was electroformed of nickel on an aluminum mandrel. The accelerating anode is to be made of tungsten vanes. The minimum drift length will be four inches and the collector will be segmented to provide information on beam location. The computer calculation for trajectory plotting was revised to take space charge into account. (Author)
