AUDIO SUBLIMINAL COMMUNICATION.

Abstract

The results of an in-depth and diversified literature search on the subject of audio subception are reported. The absence of such literature leads to an investigation of the hearing process, together with some theorizing on potential mechanisms for audio subliminality. A test procedure to establish the existence and nature of subliminal processes in the auditory system is proposed. Methods suggested are based on the assumption that subception in this modality is analogous to the visual case, in which some well-documented experiments have demonstrated its existence. (Author)
