SOME DATA ON THE WATER EXCHANGE BETWEEN THE BARENTS AND NORWEGIAN SEAS,
Abstract
The paper discusses data on the magnitude and characteristics of water exchange between the Barents and Norwegian Seas, which are based on measurements in natural conditions. The alternating and opposite stationary water movements are demonstrated in the given sector, presenting a qualitative explanation for the phenomenon. The results of measurements are compared with the outflow of water calculated with the aid of dynamic methods. (Author)
