ON THE HYPERFINE INTERACTION AND ZEEMAN EFFECT IN ATOMIC HYDROGEN NS SUB 1/2, NP SUB 1/2, AND NP SUB 3/2 STATES,

Abstract

The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of atomic hydrogen in the NS sub 1/2 and NP sub 1/2 states in Zeeman Effect taking account of hyperfine interactions are presented as generalizations of earlier work on 1S sub 1/2 and 2P sub 1/2 states. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the NP sub 3/2 states are derived from the hamiltonian. (Author)
