A STUDY OF SPECTRAL ANALYSIS OF SHORT-TIME RECORDS.

Abstract

Several aspects of the problem of spectral estimation based on short-time records have been investigated. These include techniques for estimating the quality of the autocorrelation function based on a finite length of data, new approaches to spectral estimation based on contemporary engineering practices, and the specification of a specially designed computer program to facilitate the analysis of short-time records. The design of the computer program has incorporated the latest techniques of Fourier transform calculations, the so-called Fast Fourier Transform. (Author)
