A CONTACTLESS FLOWMETER FOR LIQUID METALS,

Abstract

The flowmeter is made in the form of a segment of nonmetallic pipe situated in a magnetic field and provided with a measurement winding connected to a recording circuit, characterized by the fact that an inductor is used to create a traveling magnetic field, the measurement coil is provided with two windings on opposite sides of the pipe, and a phase meter which responds to phase shift between the induction vectors of the traveling magnetic field or a logometer to measure the amplitude ratio of the magnetic-field induction vectors on opposite sides of the pipe. A diagram of the device is included.
