THE VARIABILITY OF WATER MASSES IN THE INDIAN OCEAN.

Abstract

A delineation of the boundaries of the subsurface water masses of the Indian Ocean is accomplished by means of temperature-salinity graphs of oceanographic stations which are located along intersecting cross-sectional lines. Circulation and properties of the surface water as well as the deep and bottom water are discussed. (Author)
