LOGIC, LOGICAL DESIGN AND DIGITAL CIRCUITS,

Abstract

The material begins with a discussion of logical propositions and their mathematical extension - Boolean algebra. This is followed by various representations of Boolean functions including the graphical method. The concept of designation numbers as a unique circuit description is developed followed by simplification methods and reduction by maps. Application of these methods to actual circuit design is demonstrated by various examples. In the final portion the more common digital building blocks are presented and discussed. (Author)
