THE ASTROMETRIC PROGRAM AT YERKES OBSERVATORY.

Abstract

Modernization of the 40-inch refractor of the Yerkes Observatory along with its darkroom facilities are briefly described. Note is made of the fact that an automatic photoelectric guiding camera will soon be put into operation on the 40-inch refractor. Progress reports are given on the parallax program of low-luminosity stars for which some 600 exposures have been obtained. Progress on proper motions in the clusters NGC 2420, NGC 7062, Hyades and Pleiades are also given. (Author)
