FOAM THERMAL INSULATION,

Abstract

The report covers the testing of two different types of foam thermal insulation materials using certain proprietary coatings. The purpose of these tests was to determine the suitability of these materials as thermal insulation for shipboard construction considering application methods, surface durability, and degree of fire resistance. None of the material combinations tested met all of the desired specifications. The report describes the test procedures used and the results of the individual tests. (Author)
