INSTRUMENTS FOR USE IN SOLID STATE SCIENCE RESEARCH.

Abstract

The report describes the following instruments designed and constructed at NEL for use in solid state science research: (1) specimen holder for electrical studies at high temperature, (2) specimen holder for electrical studies at low temperatures, (3) specimen holder for sound velocity measurements at high temperatures, (4) specimen holder for sound velocity measurements at low temperatures, (5) cylinder for grinding small spheres, (6) electron bombardment chamber, (7) high pressure system, and (8) calorimeter for high temperatures.
