OPTICAL PARAMETRIC INTERACTION IN ADP.

Abstract

A detailed experimental study was made in ADP of spontaneous parametric interaction. Pumped by a pulsed laser source at 3472A, the parametric output was tuneable from 4400A to 16,000A. The experimental results agree reasonably well with a theory which considers the process as the amplification of quantum noise and which involves explicitly a calculation of the noise input under the present experimental conditions.
