DETERMINATION OF LINEAR DISCRIMINANT FUNCTIONS.

Abstract

The problem of determining a linear discriminant function for approximately separating two sets of points in a space E superscript m is treated. The two sets of points are assumed not linearly separable; hence only an approximation is possible.
