OXYGEN-CORNER-EXPANSION FLOWS WITH COUPLED VIBRATIONAL AND DISSOCIATIONAL NONEQUILIBRIUM.

Abstract

A detailed analysis is presented of the flow around a corner of dissociated oxygen with coupled vibrational and dissociational nonequilibrium. The significant effects of the variation of the recombination rate constant with temperature and that of the vibrational relaxation time from its normal shock value are discussed. The features of the coupled nonequilibrium corner-expansion flows are described and compared with those which are found in uncoupled as well as perfect and equilibrium flows. (Author)
