PHOTOGRAMMETRIC FILM SHRINKAGE TRANSFORMATIONS.

Abstract

This study is an analysis of five different types of film shrinkage transformations, all of which employed the method of least squares, and applicable to the photogrammetric problem of obtaining reliable photographic measurements. The five transformations examined were: (1) similarity; (2) affine; (3) projective; (4) hyperbolic; and (5) higher. Some special considerations are given as well as numerical results. These concern some assumptions implicit in, and some considerations as to objectives, of film shrinkage investigations. (Author)
