Abstract
The book gives an accessible form the basis of infrared photography with special interest in the necessity of photographing at considerable distances and under poor conditions of visibility. The nature and sources of infrared rays (utilized for photography), their passage through the atmosphere, the principles of infrared photography and the methods of processing are examined. Examples are given of the military application of infrared photography in the Soviet Union and abroad. The book is intended for a wide range of readers who are interested in the problems of infrared photography. The Chapters in this document are as follows: Chapter I.
