FUTURE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF THE U.S.S.R.

Abstract

Chief among the factors that have contributed to the rise of the Soviet Union from a backward nation to a dominant world power are the technical efficiency of its leadership, its capacity for industrial progress, the genius and organization of its scientific community, and its ability to capitalize on Western developments. The status of Soviet science in various fields of science and technology is reviewed.
