POLITICAL ELITES: A MODE OF ANALYSIS.

Abstract

Using the concepts of elite-elite structural relationships, elite non-elite structural relationships, elite-elite behavioral relationships, and elite non-elite behavioral relationships, three types of elites are posited. References from both theoretical and empirical literature are used to develop these types. Propositions about change within types and from one type to another are developed. Research strategies are then related to these types aimed at analyzing change in elites. (Author)
