THE COMPREHENSIVE CALIBRATION OF KINETHEODOLITES.

Abstract

The biases of a kinetheodolite are discussed and a method of calibrating is considered, which is suited to use in the field, the stars being used as reference objects. The mathematical model is given and the computing procedure and the significance of the biases found are discussed. The number of observations required is considered in relation to the desired accuracy of calibration. (Author)
