DESIGN OF STANDARD LINE OF VENTED SILVER-ZINC BATTERIES.

Abstract

Sample battery cases, covers, and holddowns were received from the vendor and were examined with respect to dimensional conformity to drawings and to USAECOM dimensional specifications. Four cells of two element designs, constructed in the BB-462()/U dimensions have undergone in excess of 225 cycles with the minimum residual capacity being forty ampere-hours. These cells employ plates prepared according to two proprietary processes. (Author)
