TRAVELING-WAVE TUBE,

Abstract

In monograph is expounded theory of traveling-wave tube. Basic attention is allotted to question of interaction of electron stream with traveling wave for large values of amplification factor in application to tubes of medium and high power. In detail is investigated influence of local absorber and reflections from matching devices on characteristics of TW tube (JIBB). Analysis is conducted of work of TW tube during finite levels of input signal. On the basis presented theory method of calculation of basic parameters of TW tube of helical type is offered. Monograph is designed for engineers and scientists working in field of shf electronics and also for teachers and students of higher educational institutions. (Author)
