FUEL PLATE TEMPERATURE STUDIES AT THE AIR FORCE NUCLEAR ENGINEERING TEST FACILITY.

Abstract

Fuel element temperatures are measured and the data are analyzed to determine the limiting power of the AF-NETF due to these fuel temperatures. The limits are 15 megawatts from loss of flow accident conditions, 20 megawatts from loss of power accident conditions and 25 megawatts from steady state considerations alone. (Author)
