A Review of MIL-C-22550A, Cleaning Compound, Waterless, Aircraft Surface

Abstract

An investigation was conducted to review the properties of materials procured under MIL-C-22550A with a view to amending the document to overcome reported incidents of malfunctioning. Based on this investigation, it is concluded that materials supplied under the requirements of P-H-0031C, Type II, Class 2 are superior in grease removal to those supplied under MIL-C-22550A and essentially equal in all other properties.
