SMALL SIGNAL POWER AND MOMENTUM THEOREMS FOR A MAGNETOELASTIC FERROMAGNET,

Abstract

Small signal equations of motion governing the magnetization and elastic displacement vectors in a magnetoelastic ferromagnet are used to find the time dependent and complex small signal power theorems, the small signal momentum conservation theorem, and the boundary conditions applicable at a passive surface of discontinuity. The theorems are also used to derive the approximate equations of motion governing localized wave packets described in terms of quasi-particles. (Author)
