PROBE COILS WITH FERRITE CORES EVALUATED FOR USE IN ELECTROMAGNETIC TESTING.
Abstract
The results of an evaluation study of absolute-type probe coils with ferrite cores are presented to provide empirical data which is applicable to both the Army Quality Assurance Program and the area of probe coil design. Although the dimensional and electrical characteristics of these probe coils are considered, the main discussion is devoted to the interpretation of the graphical correlations relating their operational characteristics to pertinent coil and test parameters.
