SOVIET HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL SERVICE DURING WORLD WAR II,

Abstract

The intent of the study is to spotlight the operations of the Soviet Hydrometeorological Service during the years of World War II, a period which was most instrumental in the evolution of the Service into the vast and sophisticated network which it is today. This paper does not arrogate to be a comprehensive treatment of the given subject, but merely attempts to bring out its dimensions by putting the major features into focus. (Author)
