BOTTLENECK EXTREMA

Abstract

Bottleneck problems relate to matching input flow with production flow in order to optimize production. In this study, bottleneck extremum problems are established in their proper abstract setting, and a 'threshold method' for their solution is found. Several examples of blocking systems are also discussed.
