SATELLITE OBSERVATIONS IN THE NETHERLANDS.

Abstract

At some twenty observing posts in the Netherlands satellites have been observed with a certain degree of regularity. At most posts the observations have been made visually, later some stations turned to the photographic technique. A description is given of the computer programs which were developed to predict the apparent path of a satellite from its orbital elements, and the program to compute the equatorial coordinates from the rectangular coordinates measured on a measuring machine.
