UTILITY OF QUANTIZED MODELS OF FADING FOR ERROR ANALYSIS.

Abstract

The report describes the derivation and use of Markov processes for predicting the performance of block-codes over channels subject to correlated disturbances. The feasibility of computing meaningful measures of performance, using a discrete Markov approximation to the channel statistics, is demonstrated. (Author)
