ANISOTROPIC MEDIA AND NETWORK SYNTHESIS.

Abstract

In this final report a summary of the work carried out on Contract AF19(628)1699 is given. Part I covers the work done on guided wave propagation in plasma filled waveguides, radiation by a line source through a warm plasma slab, evaluation of the surface wave mode on a plasma column as a diagnostic probe to measure electron density and collision frequency, electron cyclotron radiation in waveguides, and a study of beam-plasma interaction. Part II summarizes the work done on network synthesis in the areas of n-port synthesis, RC-unity gain amplifier transfer vector synthesis, reduction in number of elements in vector synthesis and the interpolation problems.
