GEOLOGICAL FACTORS FORMING GRAVITY ANOMALIES AND ISOSTATIC DISTURBANCES.

Abstract

The paper discusses the importance of the unequal density of the substratum and the changes in the density of the earth's crust in relation to the effect on the anomaly field. During a further development of deformation, an important directed change takes place in the composition and thickness of the earth's crust. These factors begin to predominate in the gravity anomalies, while the direct influence of the proper subcrustal factors on the anomalies diminishes. (Author)
