GEOPHYSICAL SKETCH-MAP OF KAZAKHSTAN.
Abstract
Aerogeophysical, gravimetric, electroprospecting and seismicprospecting studies are being carried out within the limits of the Kazakh SSR. Deep seismic sounding and profiling are being done along separate profiles: Alma-Ata--Petropavlovst, Tamir-Tau--Dzhetygora and in the region of Dzhezkazgan by the Kazakh Geophysical Trust under the Kazakh Academy of Sciences and All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Geophysics. This paper is a study of the basic data pertaining to the characteristic of the physical fields and in the fundamental results of the regional geophysical investigations in Kazakhstan. (Author)
