UTILIZATION OF ELECTRONIC COMPUTERS IN THE INTERPRETATION OF AERO-MAGNETIC SURVEYS.

Abstract

Almost the entire territory of the Soviet Union is covered by aeromagnetic and gravity surveys. Special attention is given to the study of separate structural peculiarities of the terrestrial crust. The problem of the abyssal structure of the earth's crust is most important at present. The 'Strela-2' electronic computer at Moscow State University was used to interpret the aeromagnetic data. In this study, the problems of programming on the example of some formulas used in prospecting geophysics are briefly discussed. Also, some conclusions are given on the possibilities of utilization of electronic computers in the interpretation of geophysical data.
