RANDOM VIBRATION OF LINEAR STRUCTURES.

Abstract

Systematic methods are presented for the determination of the dynamic characteristics of linear structures; geometric configuration of structures are taken into account with the aid of the linear graph concept, which permits a convenient use of a digital computer. The methods can be applied to the analysis of complex structures with distributed mass as well as to the analysis of discrete mass structures. A numerical method of the single and double inversion of the Fourier transform is presented. This makes the frequency domain analysis of nonstationary random vibrations tractable. These methods are not only of theoretical interest but also provide informations needed for estimation of structural reliability. (Author)
