VISCOSITY AS A FUNCTION OF SHEAR RATE.
Abstract
A paper is presented in which polymer viscosity is derived as a function of rate of shear. The basic idea introduced is that the polymer attains a limiting strain in the melt viscosity instrument. This limiting strain is perhaps a breaking strain. (Author)
