THE MATHEMATICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE N-NUCLEON SYSTEM BASED ON TWO-NUCLEON POTENTIAL,

Abstract

The S-matrix for the N-nucleon system with initial and final boundaries is written as a proper combination of wave functions corresponding to the states of the N-nucleon system at the times t = negative-infinity and t = infinity. The calculation of the wave functions, obeying the Schrodinger equation, is accomplished with the aid of a reasonable approximation of the two nucleon potential derived by Hamada and Johnston.
