RHEOLOGIC PROPERTIES OF THE SOLID EARTH

Abstract

In the following report investigations are carried out and results obtained there in the following order: (1) Secular strain energy release; (2) Strain energy release in the Prince William Sound aftershocks from March 28, 1964, onwards and in the Kurile Islands aftershocks from October 13, 1963, onwards; (3) Local seismic activity in Arizona, as recorded at the Tonto Forest Seismological Observatory in Payson, Arizona.
