RHEOLOGIC PROPERTIES OF THE SOLID EARTH

Abstract

The records of the Tonto Forest Seismological Observatory have been used to investigate the applicability of an array station for the study of several seismological problems: (1) Determination of seismicity of Arizona down to a low magnitude as well as the characteristics of two earthquake sequences (Imperial County and Baja California), and (2) Propagation of crustal waves from very near the source up to several hundred kilometer distance, including studies of their energy attenuation.
