SPECIALIZATION OF A SEMIOTIC THEORY.

Abstract

The study is concerned with the problem of controlling 'semiotic', or sign-using, systems that are capable of both deductive and inductive acts. Its primary focus is the problem of shaping a systemic analogue of knowledge and experience to the subject matters of particular environments. A second problem is that of obtaining an appropriate symbiosis between humans and machines capable of symbolizing. The symbols required to communicate about these two kinds of 'specialization' have inport for this inquiry. (Author)
