BILATERAL RESECTION OF THE PAROTID GLANDS WITH PRESERVATION OF THE BRANCHES OF THE FACIAL NERVE,

Abstract

In the presence of chronic inflammation of the parotid glands, it is possible to remove them without injury to the facial nerve. An indication for the removal of the parotid glands is the absence of effect of the administered conservative therapy. Such operations should be done under general anesthesia, using the Kovtunovich section in its new modification. (Author)
