DISTRIBUTIONS OF RENYI AND KAC TYPE STATISTICS: POWER OF CORRESPONDING TESTS BASED ON SUZUKI-TYPE ALTERNATIVES.

Abstract

The purpose of the paper develops the exact distributions of some Renyi-type statistics and shows how theorems on order statistics developed in a previous technical report can be used to obtain the exact distributions of the corresponding Kac-type statistics. Limit theorems for both Renyi and Kac statistics are given. Expressions for the power of tests against a particular class of alternatives for the Renyi-type statistics will be presented.
