FLOW-RATE AND PRESSURE COEFFICIENTS ON THE SURFACE OF A CONICAL FLOW AT HYPERSONIC VELOCITIES.

Abstract

Presented in the brief note is an approximate determination of the flow-rate and pressure coefficients for a symmetrical hypersonic flow past a circular cone. Approximate formulas are given for both coefficients. The analytical results for a cone semi-apex angle of theta > 10 deg. and M > 3.5 are in good agreement with the exact values of the coefficients as calculated from tables for conical flows. (Author)
