Abstract

The Manual contains information on the regime of internal waters of coastal States and on maritime honors and ceremonies. The reader is acquainted with the legislative and treaty practice of the USSR and foreign States; treaties and agreements on navigation on the North, Baltic, Black, Mediterranean and Caspian Seas and the Pacific Ocean; and also with the most significant international legal statutes and rules for the conduct of war at sea; the legal status of warships and merchant vessels and belligerents in neutral waters; and problems involved in blockades and the arming of merchant ships.
