A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE CONCERNING THE STABILITY OF THE INTERFACE BETWEEN TWO FLUIDS IN RELATIVE MOTION,

Abstract

The problem to be reviewed in the paper is the stability of a plane interface between two fluids. If they are in relative motion parallel to their interface, the latter may become unstable under certain conditions. This type of instability is commonly known as the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability.
